Aims and Scope

Established in 1984, The Journal of NOAMI (JNOAMI) is a premier peer-reviewed biannual publication of the National Oceanographic and Maritime Institute (NOAMI), published regularly in June and December.

The journal serves as an international platform to advance scientific knowledge in physical, chemical, biological, and geological oceanography, marine meteorology, climatology, coastal management, and marine technology. We strongly encourage interdisciplinary studies and review articles contributing to the Blue Economy of Bangladesh and the Bay of Bengal region.

Author Guidelines & Article Formatting

Authors must submit original, previously unpublished manuscripts formatted on A4-sized paper with 1.5-line spacing and standard margins.

Short Communication Up to 6 Journal Pages Max 250 Words

  5. Materials and Methods
  6. Results & Discussion
  7. Conclusion & Recommendations
  8. Acknowledgements & References (SI Units required)

Publication Charges & Copyright Policy

  • Page Charges: There are no page charges for manuscripts complying with page limits and featuring black-and-white figures. Additional charges apply only for extra pages or color figure requests.
  • Author Declaration: The corresponding author must submit a formal declaration affirming that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and adheres to publication ethics.
  • Copyright Transfer: Full copyright is transferred to NOAMI upon publication. Corresponding authors receive 3 free hard-copy reprints and an electronic PDF version upon request.
